Sunday Morning Nursery (Birth-Age 2)
This is your opportunity to worship without having to focus on your little one. Our nursery has:
- Infant swings
- Age appropriate activities
- Sleep area
All we ask of you is to sign your child in, provide a diaper bag and any special instructions. A small snack is provided with your approval.
Butterfly Room (Age 2-Preschool)
The Butterfly Room exists to show and teach children (2 years to Pre-K) the love of Christ. Our goal is to introduce the children to Jesus in an age appropriate manner. We do this through play, songs, Bible stories and crafts. We also provide a small snack each week. Each Sunday we ask that you sign your child in on the sign-in sheet in the lobby. From there, our wonderful team of volunteers will lead the children through the day’s activities.
Kids by the Creek (K-2nd grade)
In Kids by the Creek, your kindergarten through 2nd grade child will share time with other kids their own age in a fun time of Christ-centered activities. Each week, they will learn about God in a way that they will understand. A variety of learning opportunities allow kids to explore God’s word through games, crafts and guided discussion. We want kids to know that God loves and accepts them just as they are and help them to become lifelong followers of Jesus! What to Expect When you get to church, your Kindergarten through 2nd grade child will join you in the sanctuary for the first part of the Celebration Service. Your kids share in the fellowship and worship time with you and then are released to their own class time together. They will exit with the rest of the Kids by the Creek class and their teachers to the Red Brick Building south of the sanctuary. During the Celebration Service your child, along with the rest of the Kids by the Creek class will share in relevant Biblically-based teaching designed for their age group. Our goal is to help your child know the love of Christ, to give them opportunities to grow in their relationship with him in a safe and secure environment and to equip them to make a difference in their world. After the Celebration Service your child will be ready for you to pick them up in the top floor of the Red Brick Building, to the south of the sanctuary. They will have lots to share, so be ready!
JAM Group - Jesus and Me (3rd-5th grade)
Jam group meets after the worship time (music) at church for our own teaching time. We meet every week except once a month. Once a month the Jam group stays in church for the church service. This is great as a transition time for when they move on to our Jr. High group. We use our teaching time together to continue learning how to use their own Bibles to look up Bible Verses and read from the Bible. This is done along with curriculum that is appropriate for their age level and is fun and interactive. Through games, skits, activities, crafts, and our lesson time we hope to encourage kids how to apply Scripture to their own lives. We also hope to encourage them through individual prayer to grow their relationship with Christ. Along with our learning time we are developing friendships and relationships with each other. We do this through games, fun activities we plan as a group to have outside of our teaching time and group prayer time. We have an outstanding group of volunteers to lead the Jam group who are committed to and passionate about helping these kids grow in their love for Christ.
Youth Group (grades 6-12)
Youth Group for students in grades 6-12 meets weekly on Wednesday evenings to encourage and challenge each other through the good times and the challenges of life. Currently, all youth in grades 6-12 meet together from 6:45-8:15 in the basement of the Red Brick Building. A typical meeting includes discussion of a relevant topic, songs, a game, snacks, and time for catching up with others. Adult leaders are there to answer questions and guide the discussion. Anyone in grades 6-12 is welcome to attend! From now through our last meeting in May, we’ll be exploring some of the big questions about Christianity through the Alpha youth video series. Some questions we’ll explore include Who is Jesus, How Can I Have Faith, What and How Do I Read the Bible, Who Is the Holy Spirit, How Can I Resist Evil, and What about the Church and Telling Others?
