Church is about participating in what God is doing, being his Body, allowing him to heal us, transform us, and use us to his glory.
At Papio Creek, we are a family committed to each other and to Jesus. When we assemble for worship, his message is preached, his Spirit is present, and his people are restored, healed, and gradually conformed into his likeness. We invite you to participate with us.
Doing life together with the neighbors and communities around us so that they meet Jesus and grow as his followers.
What are we doing in ministry? The Papio Creek Church leadership has been working to clarify our calling as a church.
For quite some time we’ve been doing things because we’ve always done them or because we believe that they are just things that churches do.
We have a lot of activities in ministry. Our volunteers and our pastor are busy. Recently the PCC leadership asked the question, “Is busyness what we are supposed to be about?”
When we evaluated the fruit of our labors, we didn’t believe that we have a lot to show for our busyness.
To bring greater focus to our ministry, we decided to write a statement of our missional calling that identifies what we will work toward.
The Focus Team approved this statement of as our missional calling: “Doing life together with the neighbors and communities around us so that they meet Jesus and grow as his followers.”
We believe this statement gives the big picture of what God is calling us to, and we will use it to shape our life and ministry together as Papio Creek Church.
